Job Description

Zycus, a global leader in AI-powered Source-to-Pay (S2P) software and Agentic AI solutions, is seeking a dynamic HR Business Partner to support our Sales (Business Development) and Marketing teams. This role acts as a strategic advisor to business leaders, driving people strategy, performance, and culture initiatives, while partnering with Business stakeholders across time zones.

This is a high-visibility role. The business expects an HRBP who operates with sharp communication, high execution speed, and strong fluency in AI tools — someone who can independently drive AI-led HR projects and initiatives, not just support them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales (BD) and Marketing leadership as a trusted strategic HR advisor aligned to business goals.

  • Drive performance management cycles tailored to target-driven, incentive-based roles.

  • Manage employee relations matters with fairness, discretion, and sound judgment.

  • Lead talent management and succession planning for critical roles within the aligned functions.

  • Own workforce planning — headcount, org structure, and capability needs — in line with business growth.

  • Coach and develop people managers on leadership, feedback, and performance conversations.

  • Conduct regular 1:1 conversation with employees to understand career aspirations and drive personalized career progression plans for key/high-potential performers.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support timely, quality hiring for open positions.

  • Leverage HR analytics — attrition, engagement, Work from Office and performance data — to guide leadership decisions.

  • Drive organizational development and change management initiatives across the aligned teams.

  • Champion employee engagement and culture-building initiatives, including for night-shift/US-aligned employees.

  • Identify, propose, and execute AI-driven HR projects (e.g., AI-assisted performance insights, engagement analytics, process automation) in line with business head expectations.

  • Ensure adherence to HR policy, statutory compliance, and audit standards.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proven experience supporting Sales (Business Development) and Marketing functions.

  • Highly AI-savvy — comfortable using AI tools daily and capable of independently scoping and delivering AI-led HR projects, not just familiar with the concept.

  • Sharp, crisp communicator — able to influence and hold their own with senior business stakeholders.

  • Fast, high-quality execution — demonstrated ability to deliver projects and processes quickly without compromising rigor.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategy to commercial outcomes.

  • HRBP experience in SaaS, Technology, or Product-led organizations.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive presence.

  • Strong expertise in performance management frameworks.

  • Hands-on experience with HR analytics and data-driven decision-making.

  • Skilled in organizational development and change management.

  • Strong employee relations and conflict-resolution capability.

  • Sharp problem-solving and decision-making ability.

  • Adaptability to work with global, cross-functional, and cross-time-zone teams.

  • Flexibility to work night shifts when business requires.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.

  • 6+ years of relevant HRBP experience, ideally within technology or SaaS organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Sales/BD and Marketing teams.

  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in HR work — e.g., building or driving AI-enabled HR projects, dashboards, or process automation.

  • Experience supporting global or distributed teams strongly preferred.

  • Track record of driving performance management and employee relations outcomes with speed and quality.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with global stakeholders.

Top hard skills for this HRBP (Sales BD & Marketing) role:

  1. AI Tool Fluency for HR Use Cases — hands-on use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT/Claude, Copilot, HR-specific AI platforms) for analytics, drafting, automation, and insight generation; ability to scope and run AI-led HR projects independently.

  1. HR Analytics & Data Interpretation — working knowledge of attrition, engagement, and performance dashboards (Excel/HRIS reporting) to translate data into leadership-ready insights.

  1. Performance Management System Design — building and running PM cycles suited to target/incentive-driven sales roles (goal setting, KRA/KPI frameworks, calibration processes).

  1. Workforce & Org Planning — headcount modeling, org design, and capability mapping tied to business growth plans.

  1. HRIS/HR Tech Platform Proficiency — experience with systems like KEKA, Workday, Darwin box, or similar for data, workflows, and reporting.

  1. Employee Relations & Compliance Knowledge — grievance handling, statutory compliance (labor law basics), audit readiness, documentation discipline.

  1. Change Management & OD Frameworks — structured methodologies for driving org change and restructuring.

  1. Talent & Succession Planning Tools — 9-box grids, talent review frameworks, succession pipeline tracking.

  1. Recruitment Coordination Metrics — TAT tracking, hiring funnel analysis, quality-of-hire metrics in partnership with TA.

  1. MS Excel/PowerPoint (Advanced) — for building leadership decks, dashboards, and business cases quickly — tied to the "fast delivery" expectation.
