Job Description
Marketing Specialist — CRM & GTM Data Operations
About the role
Our CRM database is the foundation of everything our marketing and sales teams do. Every campaign, every outreach sequence, every pipeline report is only as good as the data underneath it.
We're looking for someone to own that foundation end-to-end. This is a marketing specialist role with a strong CRM and data engineering flavour: think of it as a GTM engineer for our database. You'll grow the database, keep it accurate, govern how data flows in and out, and run the email infrastructure that turns that data into revenue conversations. You'll succeed here if you care about outcomes, not just data collection.
What you'll do
1. Grow the database
Increase database coverage across our target markets by identifying gaps in our account universe and systematically closing them.
Add new accounts that fit our ideal customer profile, and new contacts against target accounts prioritised by role and buying influence.
Enrich the existing database (firmographics, technographics, contact details, org structure) so existing records keep getting richer and more usable.
Run waterfall enrichment across providers (Lusha, ZoomInfo, Apollo, Clay, and similar) to maximise fill rates while controlling credit spend.
2. Govern the CRM
Own data quality at account, contact, and opportunity level so every record reflects the best data available to us.
Build checks and balances: duplicate detection and merging, field completeness audits, stale-data flagging, and validation rules that stop bad data at the door.
Define and enforce data standards (naming conventions, required fields, account hierarchy rules) and get stakeholders to follow them.
Publish regular database health reports covering coverage, completeness, and accuracy, with clear remediation plans.
Manage suppression, unsubscribe, and do-not-contact lists so compliance is airtight across every outbound channel.
3. Engineer the workflows
Build automated pipelines for lead qualification, validation, segmentation, and enrichment so contacts are outreach-ready before they enter a campaign.
Manage integrations between Salesforce, data providers, outreach platforms, calling systems, and marketing automation tools.
Use workflow automation platforms (Clay, n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar) as your primary build environment rather than manual processes.
Apply AI tooling, including Claude, Claude Code, and MCP-based integrations that connect AI directly to Salesforce and outreach platforms, to automate enrichment, classification, personalisation, and data-quality work.
Lead technology evaluation and adoption: continuously assess third-party tools, data providers, and AI capabilities against our goals, run structured pilots, and make build-vs-buy recommendations.
4. Own email deliverability and marketing productivity
Own deliverability end-to-end: delivery rates, bounce rates, spam placement, and sender reputation across all sending domains.
Manage domain and IP infrastructure, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC authentication, domain warm-up, and mailbox provisioning.
Run root cause analysis when performance drops (list quality, content, infrastructure, or volume) and document findings.
Plan and run intervention programmes based on those findings: list cleaning, re-warming, content changes, and cadence adjustments.
Track campaign performance (open, click, reply, conversion) and translate it into concrete recommendations for marketing and BD.
5. Partner across the GTM teams
Liaise with the marketing, business development, sales, and digital marketing teams to keep data, infrastructure, and campaigns aligned to our demand generation goals.
Act as the go-to owner for data and outreach infrastructure questions, translating team needs into workflows, segments, and reports.
6. Run the supporting infrastructure
Administer our outreach and marketing platforms (Outreach, SmartLead, Mailchimp, Eloqua, and similar).
Manage calling infrastructure: phone number procurement, validation, caller ID setup, and dialer-to-CRM integrations.
Build dashboards and periodic reports on outreach performance, database health, and campaign effectiveness.
Document systems and processes so the stack stays maintainable, not tribal knowledge.
What success looks like
Database coverage of our target market, and the rate at which gaps are closing.
Field completeness and accuracy scores at account, contact, and opportunity level.
Enrichment fill rates and cost per enriched record.
Deliverability benchmarks held within healthy thresholds: inbox placement, bounce rates, sender reputation.
Documented root cause analyses with interventions that measurably moved campaign numbers.
Reduction in manual data work through automation.
What we're looking for
3 to 5 years in B2B Marketing Operations, CRM Operations, Sales/Revenue Operations, or GTM Operations.
Hands-on Salesforce experience (preferred), or HubSpot or a comparable CRM, including reports, validation rules, and data management.
Experience with data providers such as Lusha, ZoomInfo, Apollo, or Clay, sourcing and maintaining B2B contact data at scale.
Experience administering outreach or marketing automation platforms such as Outreach, SmartLead, Mailchimp, or Eloqua.
Solid grasp of email deliverability fundamentals (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, warm-up, sender reputation), with experience diagnosing and fixing deliverability problems.
Ability to build and maintain multi-step automated workflows in tools like Clay, n8n, Zapier, or Make.
Practical experience using AI tools (Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar) to automate workflows and improve data quality; familiarity with agentic AI and MCP integrations is a strong plus.
Awareness of data privacy and email compliance requirements (GDPR, CAN-SPAM) for B2B outreach.
Strong analytical mindset, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working across marketing, BD, sales, and digital marketing stakeholders towards shared demand generation goals.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
