Job Description
We are looking for a legal executive to join our corporate legal team. Join an award winning team of legal experts.
Key Responsibilities
Support in reviewing, drafting, negotiating and redlining commercial contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, SaaS agreements, SOWs, DPAs, amendments and other customer, vendor and partner agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
Review and respond to legal, compliance and contractual requirements contained in RFPs, RFQs and customer procurement documentation.
Conduct legal research and provide practical advice on international laws, technology laws, data privacy regulations, e-commerce laws, intellectual property and other legal issues impacting the Company's global operations.
Assess new technologies, software products and AI solutions to identify applicable legal and regulatory requirements, and prepare legal compliance matrices and control mappings.
Support the Legal team in AI-driven legal operations, including managing legal AI assistants/bots, monitoring their adoption across business functions, improving prompt libraries, validating AI-generated outputs and identifying new automation opportunities.
Coordinate with external Company Secretaries and legal advisors for corporate secretarial and statutory compliance matters.
Prepare legal presentations, playbooks, guidance notes and training materials on employment laws, commercial contracting, AI governance, privacy, compliance and other legal topics.
Conduct legal awareness and induction sessions for HR, Sales, Procurement and other business teams on employment laws, contract management, data privacy and compliance requirements across different jurisdictions.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the Company's global business and proactively recommend appropriate compliance measures.
Provide day-to-day legal support to internal stakeholders across different regions and time zones.
Experience Required
LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognized university.
1–3 years of post-qualification experience in the legal department of a software/SaaS/IT company or a law firm handling technology clients; freshers with relevant internships/exposure can also apply.
Exposure to commercial contracting, international laws, technology laws, data privacy or intellectual property laws will be preferred.
Strong interest in emerging technologies, Generative AI, AI governance and legal technology.
Experience working in a multinational or global services organization will be an advantage.
Experience supporting global business teams operating across multiple jurisdictions and time zones.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
Strong passion for commercial law, technology law and legal innovation.
Excellent legal research, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently analyse complex legal issues.
Hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or similar Generative AI platforms for legal research, drafting, summarisation and productivity, with the ability to design effective prompts and critically validate AI-generated outputs.
Strong understanding of commercial contracts, international business laws, intellectual property, data privacy, e-commerce and emerging AI regulations.
Ability to interpret legal requirements and translate them into practical business guidance and compliance controls.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear, concise and business-friendly manner.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Legal, Sales, Procurement, HR, Product, Engineering and other business functions.
Ability to prioritise multiple assignments in a fast-paced, dynamic and global business environment.
Strong business acumen with a solution-oriented and commercially pragmatic approach to legal issues.
