Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Manager - Business Development (US/EMEA/APAC) to lead our business growth initiatives and drive revenue for Zycus’ SaaS-based procurement software solutions. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on business development responsibilities, requiring a strong leader who can drive both personal and team success.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in SaaS enterprise sales, an in-depth understanding of the US/North American Market and the ability to build and scale high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and Develop the BD Team: Manage, mentor, and coach a team of business development professionals to achieve individual and team revenue goals.

  • Individual Contributor (IC) Responsibilities: Own and drive your own sales targets alongside the team’s goals — identifying, engaging, and closing strategic enterprise opportunities.

  • Strategic Planning: Create and execute business development strategies that support Zycus’ growth objectives in the SaaS procurement software space.

  • Market Expansion: Identify and target new markets, clients, and industry segments within US to expand Zycus’ footprint.

  • Partnership Development: Build and nurture alliances and partnerships that enhance Zycus’ market penetration and brand presence.

  • Pipeline & Forecast Management: Oversee lead generation, opportunity tracking, and sales forecasting to ensure predictable revenue outcomes.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to align business development initiatives with Zycus’ overall go-to-market strategy.

  • Market Intelligence: Analyze trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and refine strategies.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior stakeholders, influencers, and decision-makers across enterprise organizations.

External Skills And Expertise:

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum 6+ years in business developmentsales, or related roles, with 3+ years in a leadership position, preferably in SaaS or enterprise software.

  • Expertise in Procurement Solutions: Strong knowledge of procurement processes and related software (e.g., sourcing, contract management).

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. MBA is a plus.

  • Skills:Proven leadership and team management skills.
    Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
    Strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive business growth.
    Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics.
